Baby Blogging: 2nd day

John (Jack) Liam Sherman has been in this world for about 30 hours. The labor was...laborious...36 hours long. Taxing for all involved, but mostly for Michelle. But the results are in, and we are thrilled. He's the best thing, everrrrr!!

9 pounds, 10 ounces, a big fellah. 20 and 3/4 long...a tall dude.

You'll see in today's pictures some red splotching. This is the famous and completely normal and expected baby acne. What you won't see are regular red marks on his cheeks. Evidently the forceps were used with graceful and expert hands. What marks there were have disappeared overnight.

He's feeding well and is (so far) a happy, smart, well tempered baby.

Good times. Clink!

UPDATE: blogspot is having difficulty with the photo uploads right now. I'll get them up proto. You'll see!

Impending arrival

It is the due date for our first born, but so far no movement from John Liam. Michelle wants him outta there! Can't wait to meet our little fella.

Pins and needles for the moment.

Our hospital is just up the street from us, so when it is "Time", Michelle and I will walk up the 4 or 5 blocks. Walking is especially condusive for labor, or so we've been told. So we are very lucky living where we do. Far enough for it to be a walk, but not far enough to be overly strenuous.

We have the immediate bag packed and a secondary bag ready for Jack Liam with clothes and such.

Hopefully, we'll post soon with more info....

Just a test

Pay no attention to the test behind the curtain.
